In September last year the Bush Theatre moved from it’s long standing premises above a pub in Shepherds Bush to the Old Shepherds Bush Library on the corner on the Uxbridge Road. As the theatre had been in its previous premises since the 70s, the move was a historic moment for them and they were looking to document the process starting with the transfer of their office through to various stages of the renovation process in our new building.
I worked with Bush Theatre over the following six month to capture some of the key moments - including the final production at Shepherds Bush called Moments. The photos were contributed to an illustrated book CLOSE-UP MAGIC: 40 Years at the Bush Theatre due to be published in 2012 to celebrate their 40th Anniversary and also used for marketing purposes in the build up to the opening of the new theatre.
