Although I generally avoid any potentially conflict (being a great big coward) I tend to focus my work on areas which hold little risk of me getting trampled or my equipment broken. But this particular protest meant a lot to me. After conducting my own research into the conflict a few years back I have been consistently alarmed by the biased media reports in the UK.
The protest here was very passionate brut extremely calm. As it was my first protest I was a little apprehensive and I was concerned with the recent reports of police manhandling photographers. But they were extremely courteous and even helped me get my shots.
