When I was younger I used to sit on my step for hours watching the other children play (I was never allowed to... but that's another story.)
I would mentally 'click' in my head to capture movement and freeze frame their reactions to eachother. I really should have saved up my pocket money to buy a camera but chose to buy a Pound Puppy instead...
My images focus on the ignored. I love to capture their vunerability but also their strength that I feel many of my subjects exude. They draw you in and entrance you.
My main influences are Martin Parr and Robert Frank - although I feel I watch through a window at my subjects. They seem always out of arms reach.
